“McGeough Lamacchia Realty, Inc. provides unrivaled service to all of our clients whether they are buying or selling a home. Every employee in our company will always hold the client and all parties involved in a transaction in the highest regard and treat them with honesty, professionalism, respect, and integrity. These same qualities will carry over in the workplace among employees as we work to become the greatest real estate company.”
When we started our business we decided to do things differently right from the beginning. Our first challenge was to find a way to get our message out to a lot of people. So we decided to take a huge risk and advertise on the major Boston television networks. One of two things was going to happen:
We would either be put out of business because no one wanted to hear our message, or we would be accepted by the marketplace and our business would prosper. Luckily, the second one took place and every year we advertise with more frequency on more television stations. We have always tried to send a clear message about us and how we can help sell your home. We always tell clients that what you see is what you get with our company. We are honest, hardworking individuals who genuinely care about helping out our clients.
Our Unique Staffing Model
In addition to having a unique television advertising campaign that would help get the word out, we also realized we needed a different staffing model to make the experience of selling a home better. We could utilize the traditional real estate office model which consists of hiring as many part-time and full-time agents as possible that all sell a couple of homes a year.
We would then profit from taking a piece of their commission and call it a day. Needless to say, we knew this would never work since the client experience would be solely in the hands of the agent and completely out of our control.
So we decided to build a staff around the entire transaction and ensure that the client experience is always the same: extremely high.
With so many new moving parts in the transaction we honestly have no idea how a single agent can service more than one client. To help illustrate this point, we have included our Client Service Matrix and how it compares to a typical agent:
Our Client Service Matrix Compared to a Typical Real Estate Agent
As you can see from the illustration, we provide a single point of contact with an entire team built around every client. The Listing Agent is always available but has access to the Field Agent, Buyer Agents, Sales Manager, Operations Director, Internet Marketer, and the owners of the company. No issue is too big or too small for the team to handle but impossible with just one individual.
Some Quick Examples Highlight the Benefit of the Team Structure:
Let’s say an agent who had a showing last week wants to discuss a possible offer and get more questions answered midday on Thursday, the same time a very interested buyer wants to view your home.
No problem, the Listing Agent will deal with the Agent and the Buyer Agent will handle the showing.
Let’s also suppose that a relocation buyer is in town all of Monday and Tuesday, they are not looking at your home but 10 others in adjoining towns. Tuesday is supposed to be the day your home goes on the market.
No problem, the Field Agent will take pictures/measurements and put the sign up while your Listing Agent puts everything online, all the while the buyer agent is out showing properties to the relocation buyer.
Finally, let’s say an important call comes in at 10am on Saturday or at 5pm on Sunday but the Listing Agent has a sporting event to attend with his/her kids.
No problem, our weekend staff will step in so that a live body with access to all the information about your listing is always available.
These scenarios and hundreds of others happen every single day and unless there is a team supporting you, buyers and agents can get frustrated and reschedule, online information can get dropped, and important dates can get missed. Let’s face it, people get sick, people have families, and things come up unexpectedly, a team structure allows these events to happen without impacting the sale of your home!
In addition, we are constantly sought out by news outlets as a resource in the real estate industry. Recently, we have been featured in the Wall Street Journal, Boston Business Journal, Bankers and Tradesman, NECN, and FOX25. These outlets allow us to update the marketplace on the constant changes that are happening within our industry. This also allows us to outsell our competition. Our model seems to be working quite well since we have been #1 listing agent in MLS for the past 3 years and ranked #53 in the country by the Wall Street Journal!Free Online Evaluation
