March Home Sales in Massachusetts and Southern New Hampshire
The number of homes sold in Massachusetts in March 2014 dropped 7% compared to March 2013. There were 4,509 home sales in Massachusetts in March 2014 compared to 4,829 in March of 2013.
In Southern New Hampshire*, the number of home sales dropped 1.2% compared to last year. There were 656 home sales in Southern New Hampshire in March compared to 664 in March 2013.
Average home prices continue to rise. The average price for a home in Massachusetts last month was $348,788, an increase of 9% compared to prices in March of 2013. In Southern New Hampshire, the average selling price for a home was $240,235, an increase of 13% compared to the previous March.
