Co- Owner/Broker of McGeough Lamacchia
Anthony comes from Watertown, Massachusetts. He started as a real estate agent in 2004 after spending his childhood and early adult life working at his Dad’s Landscape Construction Company. It was there that he learned more about business and also what it takes to build, design, and showcase homes than anywhere else. He was responsible for all masonry and large scale landscape construction projects. He obtained a Massachusetts builders license in 2003 and it has been beneficial to the many gut renovation and new construction projects he has been involved in since.
After buying his first property at age 21 and a couple more properties by age 23 he realized real estate was where he wanted to be. So in 2004 he made the jump into real estate sales with the very agent who helped him buy and sell a few of those properties: John McGeough. Anthony liked how honest and knowledgeable John was as an agent. He hit the ground running and immediately began selling numerous properties and has not stopped since. Now he spends most of his time running the company, training agents, and continues advising buyers and sellers. His obsession with building a well trained staff and team of agents through scalable systems has been hugely beneficial to the company.
Anthony is extremely involved and very passionate about advocating for homeownership, real estate development, tax policy related to Real Estate, and fellow Realtors. He has flown to Washington, DC on many occasions to meet with members of Congress, Senators, and various regulatory agencies to defend homeownership, distressed homeowners, and mortgage lending. In 2008 when the market fell apart and many distressed homeowners needed short sales, Anthony established relationships with executives at the nation’s largest banks and Government Sponsored Enterprises. He traveled all over the country to meet the right people to make sure that clients of McGeough Lamacchia Realty were taken care of.
In 2013 Anthony was elected to the Massachusetts Association of Realtors® Board of Directors. He has served on the National Association of Realtors® Conventional Lending and Finance Committee, and has served on the Government Affairs Committee with the Massachusetts Association of Realtors® since 2012.
He is also a President’s Circle member of the Realtors® Political Action Committee, which gives financial support to members of Congress and the Senate who support real estate causes.
Anthony and his partner, John McGeough, are often featured on FOX25 Morning News in Boston as Real Estate Experts. He has also been interviewed by multiple local news outlets such as ABC affiliate WCVB-TV, New England Cable News and other national outlets such as the Wall Street Journal. Anthony and John also have been the number one Real Estate Agents in Massachusetts since 2010 and have ranked in the top 100 in the country since 2011. McGeough Lamacchia Realty has been recognized not only as one of the fastest growing companies in Massachusetts, but has also made the 2013 Inc. 500|5000 list of the fastest-growing private companies in America.
Outside of Work I Enjoy:
“Being with my wife and kids and doing all kinds of things like skiing, reading, mixed martial arts, watching football.
My Favorite Charity:
“Children’s Hospital, Boston.”
Favorite Part of My Job:
“Since I was a young child I always dreamed of building a company from the ground up. It is one of the most difficult things anyone can do and no one knows how truly tough it can be until they try it themselves. I enjoy all aspects of building our company including handling some of the challenges that come along with doing that. Most companies fail in the first year and even more fail within a few years after. Those statistics have always motivated me to do better and to grow the company in a aggressive but careful manner. Most of all I enjoy the satisfaction of working with our great staff to help home buyers and sellers!”
